"If you pass by the color purple in a field and don't notice it, God gets real pissed off."

Today (this post was written when it was VERY late on Sunday, so today really means Sunday) I was sooooo sick of sitting inside NOT cleaning, NOT organizing, NOT putting laundry away so I decided to walked around my yard and take some pictures of my favorite flowers. The lighting was excellent and my flowers are really looking GREAT *jumps up quickly and knocks on wood*! So..enjoy =)

~Our very first Hydrangea bush!! And it is thriving! Go figure!~

~A gorgeous perfect bloom~

~A close up of natures beauty~

~BIG DADDY got this at a greenhouse. It was too neat to pass up! It is a Black Eyed Susan Vine and it's growing like a weed...~

~Here is a bloom getting ready to pop. It is really quite different because they first make little pods and the very tip of them has a teeeny tiny opening and the flower works it's way out to bloom =)~

~Close up of one of the blooms~

~My most favorite EVER!! My lush soft Coreopsis, ohh how I love thee~

~Close up of a Coreopsis bud and bloom~

~Pretty Pink Pin Cushion. I ♥ this too~

~BIG DADDY'S Astilbe. He loves these. They are always catching his eye.~

~Alstilbe bloom~

~Our urn filled with Reed Grass, 2 Sweet Potato Plants and Twinspur. This is sitting in the corner of our front brick sitting area/patio thingy.~

~Close up of Twinspur, it is a Flirtation Orange variety..~

~Stella D'oro Daylilly~

~My Shasta Daisies! These are another one of my favorites, because they are so simple and plain. They remind me of days gone by~ Loooook at all those soon to be blooms!♥

~Geraniums are another of those feel good simple, "old school" plants. This one is of the salmon variety~

~My favorite mix of plants this season. I think I will do this to more than 1 pot next year. It just makes me smile when I look at it.~

~My Dianthus is doing VERY well this year...in past years I have been blessed by their beauty for only about 2 weeks. But they are pluggin away this year!~

~Another variety of daisy, but this one is not a perennial =( Which sucks. It is just sooo very pretty~

When I read this it gave me goosebumps...

Have you ever seen a flower down
Sometimes angels skip around
And in their blissful state of glee
Bump into a daisy or sweet pea.
~Jessi Lane Adams

And when I read it again, tears welled up in my eyes. I love it. I think it may find a home in my garden oh so very soon.

  1. How do I say this nicely? Ummmmmmm...that made me depressed. My maybe-there's-hope-this-year flowers got neglected for almost 3 weeks when I had my surgery....and now only about half still fighting the good fight. *pouts*

Your flowers look gorgeous though, gf! You should be so proud!! Thanks for sharing. It's nice to know someone is successful at this whole flower thing...and actually enjoying them! Glad it's one of my fav gfs. : ))
