Misperceptions.....of me. A SAHM!
There are so many misperceptions about SAHM's.
One of the biggest misperceptions is that all we do is sit on our butts, eating bon-bon's, watching soap operas, drinking Mimosa's or coffee in the a.m. and a HUGE glass or 3 of wine by 5pm. Add a few more of those little misperceptions you as the American people want to throw in there...and you have what a SAHM does. Every single day.
Little do you know, that is NOT all we do!
We also Pinterest!
Picture it...
Curled up in the Ivory Chaise lounge that was given to her by her fantastical hubby when baby #1 was born. Extra large goldfishbowl shaped glass of mimosa in her left hand. Laptop resting on, where else, but her lap. General Hospital on low for just some background noise, because she is so used to screaming kids or loud video games that total silence creeps her out. She scans her shortcuts on her home screen to Pinterest. She gets lost in all the food, the organizing, the decorating, the Martha Stewart wannabees. She is pinning what she dreams her house will look like when her children are grown, she pins what she thinks/hopes/wishes her life of organization COULD be, she pins in her 'foods that my family would love' board all kinds of recipes that she may or may not ever try...but one can dream. After she has pinned everything under the sun that pertains to her, she decides to just take a few minutes to take a peek at what the people that she is following has been pinning. She steals and pins to her own board that fits the category...in the distance she hears a faint boooong, booooong, boooong. She realizes with a start that the sound she is hearing is her Grandfather Clock telling he in it's fun-sucking depressing chime, that the children shall be home in just a matter of minutes. The magical day of a SAHM has ended. The only thing she has to look forward to is that tomorrow is another day....another day to keep those misperceptions fulfilled. Those lovely misperceptions....

Have you heard about Pinterest?
This is the definition I would have defined for you in my own words, but I tend to talk too much. So this is my favor to you. My first one on this post anyway...
It is what all the ladies are doing ;)
Well, most of them anyway. Some are strangely addicted, when I say strangely I mean they 'try' everything that they have pinned. Some just like to peruse when they have the time, others make the time and just like to dream. No matter. You are a Pinterest freak. And when I say that, it's a good thing. It's a compliment. It is!!!
I of course love it! It makes me all hopeful, hungry, warm, and proud all at the same time.
Here is the link to the site itself. PINTERESTYou either have to be invited by a fellow pinner (which I find plain odd) or you have to request an invite by the site itself. I have heard that after you request an invite it sometimes takes awhile. I didn't experience that to be the case, but you never know.
If it seems like something you'd be interested in take a look see. Let me know what you think. But don't let me know right away, it will take awhile for you to get the full AHHH-HAAAA effect.
Oh and if you don't ever like it. Like ever. Erase me from your Pinterest trial period memory. Pretend you can't place where you heard about it. Pretend you will never ever remember that you heard it from me. Okay?! Okay. Thanks.
Happy Pinning.
Ohhh a little snippet of my next blog for y'all, recipes that I've tried from Pinterest! Hint...FLOP! Big fat FLOP!

I am a blogger....I am a blogger....I am a blogger....
I am a blogger. Of sorts.
I like to write.
I have thoughts that I want to put 'out there'. Other thoughts...not so much.
I feel good when I've written and I have praise from friends and acquaintances.
I am pissed, but satisfied when I have negative comments or as us bloggin' beauties like to call them...HATERS!
So, why?! Why of all things holy do I seem to neglect my writing?
I don't get it. Well, that's not true. I kinda sorta get it. Kinda. Sorta.
I often have the time to write. If I don't, I could sure as hell make the time. If I really wanted to.
But, do I want to?! The answer to that is yes and no.
There are SO many times throughout the day that I think..'I could sooo write about this'. And then in the next breath 'who really cares to read it'.Would it even be something that would be WORTH my time, the readers time?!
There are SO many bloggers out there that have something to write about EVERY day.
How is that possible?!
Is it that they just write whatever pops in their head for the day?
Is it that their lives are so full of dramatics?
Is it that they are just actual 'writers' and KNOW what the readers want to read?
Is it that they just don't care what they write about, they write just to write?
I write a blog for a local newspaper. Alright, let's just say I'm suppose to write a blog for a local newspaper. They require a minimum of 2 blogs per week. 2! A week! But the kicker is, it just can't be about anything. It HAS to be about a certain subject, it has to include links, and they would like pictures included too.
The subject that I chose, SAHM. Stay At Home Mom. Because why?! I know nothing else. So I thought easy peasy writing.
Yeah, not. My life is NOT full of do this, do that, always on the go. I am not a homeschooler. I am not a church-goer. I am just a mom, cleaner, cooker, disciplinarian, nurse (just no degree), and chauffeur. That is it. Now, what in the freak am I suppose to write about 2x a week?!? I am so worried that anything I decide to write about will not be worthy. Afraid it will be boring. Afraid it will offend. Afraid it will bring negative comments. Afraid it will have a multitude of grammatical errors, cause we ALL know there are grammar Nazis out there...
I'm afraid, but then yet I'm not.
I know that I can do anything I set my mind to.
I am sure that if I could just get over a few insecurities I could SO rock this.
Of this, I am sure.

Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle. LMFAO...seriously!!!!
Hey all!!!!!!
It's me. The blogger. Ya know, the one that hardly ever blogs!!!!
Seriously though. I blog when I can. It seems like I always have SOMETHING to blog about, it is just getting around to do it! I have come to the conclusion that I could blog MUCH easier when BIGDADDY worked days. Now that he's working nights it seems like I don't get anything done around here. Cleaning, organizing, rearranging, decorating, crocheting, crafting and last but not least blogging. It blows. HUGE chunks. But, it is what it is.
Onto the reason I am blogging.
Big Daddy and I hardly ever go out. Maybe once every other month. We just don't. We like our house, our comfort zone, our kids, and we are happy where we are.
This weekend I just happened to catch on video something that will make you all see that we get our amusement, jollies, giggles and all out good times here at home.
The following video is last Saturday night. This is the kind of thing that happens at our house EVERY weekend. It is never a dull moment.
On the weekends I kinda just let the house go and let our kids bring blankets, toys, books, computers and whatever they want downstairs so they don't feel like they have to be stuck in their rooms. We want them to be a part of our weekend with us. So, the house is always a mess by Saturday night. BOY2 hardly ever gets dressed. If we decide to run to the store, right as soon as we get home the first thing he does is strip. THEGIRL and I just lounges in pajama/yoga clothes. Weekends are easy going around here. As they should be!
The following video is a little preview of our weekends.
There is giggling, laughing and I think I actually snort somewhere in there.
